Having annual awards nights establishes company ethos and shows that you as an employer, value the efforts and achievements of your employees. It shows them they are valued as you are willing to invest time and money back into them in exchange for commitment and hard work.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON AWARDS NIGHT
Most award nights are separated into four key sections, however, if you wish to add something different, it is very possible. Here are the typical elements of an awards night.
Whether it be sparkling or not, a drinks reception allows your guests time to socialise and network before being seated. This will be the first room your guests will arrive in so it is essential you create the right atmosphere as this will set the mood for the rest of the night.
THREE COURSE MEAL
Once enough time has been allowed for socialising and near to all guests have arrived at the reception, they will then be seated generally for a three-course meal with tables usually consisting of 10 to 12 guests.
The catering should always be carefully considered as the guests also want to enjoy their meal. It is best to go with popular options such as salmon, beef or chicken mains and something light for dessert.
Once all the guests have had the chance to get settled and enjoy a delicious meal, the presentations and speeches will then commence, taking up a large section of the evening. Guests are welcomed to enjoy drinks and share some laughs.
POST SHOW ENTERTAINMENT
After the awards have been won and the speeches have been made, the entertainment will occupy the rest of the night. This generally consists of a disco where people can dance the night away and a fun casino where people can bet fun money on either roulette or blackjack.
