An award night is a perfect way of doing this.

Is an award night beneficial?

Whilst it might be the nice option to take, nice isn’t always an option in business – there has to be an advantage to you; is there an advantage of an award night? There’s certainly an advantage – multiple actually.

Firstly, it boosts morale. Evidently, if your staff are already exceeding your expectations, morale must be pretty good. Regardless, staff can reach the point of burnout: A period of time where they’ve lost motivation and are therefore unproductive. Burnout can be caused by lack of appreciation from those they’re working for, even if the staff were initially happy. So, keeping that in mind, planning and hosting an event can symbolise your appreciation of their efforts, guaranteeing their desire to succeed and impress you further.

Secondly, it can help a team to work more cohesively and more productively. As you’re rewarding your staff for already exceeding expectations, this might seem unnecessary. However, if you can have your staff performing better as a team as a result of the award night, why wouldn’t you take advantage of the opportunity?
